A Russian man identified as Yaytseslav has sparked widespread outrage on Ghanaian social media after videos surfaced showing him recording private moments with women he met in Accra and sharing the footage online.
The controversy erupted on Thursday, February 12, 2026, when several clips allegedly recorded by Yaytseslav began circulating on various platforms. The videos showed him approaching women in public places, particularly around the Accra Mall, striking up conversations, and documenting their interactions.
According to reports, his approach often involved persuading women to exchange contact details before inviting them to his residence. These encounters were reportedly filmed and later shared on social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, and a private Telegram channel.
The recordings have raised serious concerns among Ghanaians, with many questioning whether the women were aware they were being filmed and whether proper consent was obtained.
A blogger has since claimed that Yaytseslav may have used Meta smart glasses to secretly record the videos without the women’s knowledge, allowing him to capture footage discreetly during conversations and private meetings.
