NDC Misrepresenting ORAL Issues – Miracles Aboagye

New Patriotic Party communicator Dennis Miracles Aboagye has taken a swipe at National Democratic Congress over its Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, arguing that the party’s own interpretation of the policy could expose its appointees to scrutiny.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Aboagye maintained that allegations of financial impropriety must be handled strictly within the confines of the law and not based on what he described as arbitrary claims.

According to him, the mere cost of a project cannot constitute grounds for prosecution, insisting that due process must guide any investigation or legal action.

He criticised the NDC for what he termed a misrepresentation of issues to its supporters, stressing that Ghana operates under the rule of law.

“The NDC’s own definition of ORAL has implicated some of their appointees. Some of the arguments being advanced are quite baseless, including claims that the cost of the new Bank of Ghana building alone warrants prosecution. How can the price of a building automatically justify legal action?” he questioned.

Aboagye further underscored the role of the Attorney-General, noting that any prosecutions must follow established legal procedures.

“This country is not governed by arbitrary decisions. The Attorney-General will carry out his mandate in accordance with the law, and every action must go through the proper legal processes,” he stated.
