A tragic accident in Offinso Old Town, Ashanti Region, has resulted in the deaths of two individuals, while two others have sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 13 January 2026, when a car collided with a trailer (GR-1357-W) and a mini truck carrying building materials.

According to an eyewitness, the female victim, a building materials trader, was transporting goods from Kumasi to Offinso when the crash took place. Both she and the driver suffered severe burns and tragically died at the scene.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the hospital for further investigation, and the police have taken over the scene to conduct a thorough probe into the accident.
