Reject power-hungry Kofi Bekoe and maintain Agya Addo as polling station chairman for Presby School Abiriw

Concerned members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abiriw have announced their unanimous support for Agya Addo in the upcoming polling station chairman elections.

The group highlighted Agya Addo’s long-standing commitment to sacrifice and service, stating that for years, he has worked quietly on the ground, mobilising voters, resolving disputes, and keeping the polling station strong and united.

They emphasised that he has stood by the party during hardships, without seeking the spotlight, proving that true loyalty surpasses personal ambition.

“We, the concerned members and grassroots supporters of the New Patriotic Party in Abiriw, wish to make our position clear ahead of the upcoming Polling Station Chairman elections.

“We stand firmly and unanimously behind Agya Addo for Polling Station Chairman,” the group said.

The supporters argued that leadership at the polling station level is not about pursuing titles in the wake of defeat.

Instead, they stressed the importance of consistency, commitment, and deep knowledge of the grassroots, qualities Agya Addo has consistently demonstrated.

“Changing a chairman who has delivered stability and loyalty for an outsider chasing position sets a dangerous precedent for our party at the grassroots.

“To replace experience with convenience, and loyalty with opportunism, is to weaken the very foundation of the NPP in Abiriw,” they opined.

They further contended that Kofi Bekoe’s decision to contest the polling station chairman position after losing the parliamentary primaries reflects a desire to retain influence rather than serve the party, urging delegates to reject him.

In a statement signed by Concerned NPP Delegates and Grassroots Members, Abiriw, the group urged fellow delegates, Patriots of Abiriw, and Members of the NPP to reject Kofi Bekoe for the polling station chairman elections.

The group called on Abiriw delegates to reject division and vote to retain the leadership that has maintained unity.

“Reward loyalty and service by endorsing Agya Addo. Protect the integrity of our polling station by choosing continuity over confusion.

“The NPP wins elections from the polling station up. Let us keep our base strong by keeping Agya Addo as our Polling Station Chairman.”
