‘Nothing beats Aha Ye’ — Arnold Asamoah Baidoo hails Diana Hamilton’s gospel hit as 2025’s standout song

Entertainment analyst Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has declared that no Ghanaian Gospel song released in 2025 matches the impact of “Aha Ye” by Diana Hamilton.

Speaking on Hitz Praise Zone on Hitz FM, the pundit acknowledged that several Gospel musicians delivered notable songs during the year. However, he maintained that “Aha Ye” stands distinctly above the rest in terms of spiritual depth and overall execution.

According to Arnold, while some Gospel releases enjoyed impressive promotion and strong public relations backing, none rivalled the spiritual and musical excellence of Diana Hamilton’s song.

“Piesie had one of the biggest songs. I wouldn’t deny that. She put in the work, the kind of PR machinery that she attached to the song. Incredible big ups to her, big ups to her husband, big ups to the entire team. But nothing beats ‘Aha Ye’ in the Gospel fraternity,” he stated.

Arnold emphasised that Gospel music should not be measured primarily by awards or chart performance, stressing that the genre is driven by a higher spiritual mandate.

“At the end of the day, awards are not what we are looking for in the Gospel fraternity. There’s a bigger goal,” he noted.

He further highlighted the contribution of veteran Gospel musician Elder Mireku, whose feature on the song, he said, adds a unique spiritual intensity.

According to Arnold, Elder Mireku’s calm and measured delivery carries a distinct anointing that deepens the song’s impact and enhances its message.

The entertainment analyst also commended the South African-inspired production style of the track, describing it as emotionally stirring and spiritually uplifting.

“When you hear the South African beat, doesn’t it give you chills? You are telling me that in a Gospel song, again, no disrespect, anything beats ‘Aha Ye’? No way,” he added.
