Tottenham handed injury boost as Mohammed Kudus targets April return

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of a late-season resurgence have received a significant lift, with influential attacker Mohammed Kudus on track to return to action next month.

The Ghana international has been sidelined since early January, but sources close to the club suggest his recovery from a long-term hamstring injury is entering its final stages.

Kudus is expected to rejoin first-team training following the conclusion of the March international break.

Kudus has been out of action since limping off during Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland on 4 January.

His three-month absence has proved costly for the North London club; a dismal run of form during the winter months ultimately led to the sacking of head coach Thomas Frank.

New interim boss Igor Tudor, tasked with steadying the ship until the end of the campaign, will be eager to integrate the dynamic playmaker back into his starting XI.

Kudus had been a standout performer for Spurs prior to his injury, providing the creative spark that the team has sorely lacked in recent weeks.

The midfielder’s rehabilitation has been a global effort. In February, Kudus travelled to Amsterdam to undergo intensive treatment with a specialist he worked with during his successful stint at Ajax.

The decision to seek familiar expertise appears to have paid off, with no reported setbacks in his programme.

If he successfully navigates his return to full training in late March, the club’s medical staff have identified a competitive comeback window in early April.

While the news is positive for Tottenham fans in N17, the timing is a blow for Ghana. The “Black Stars” talisman will miss high-profile international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month.

These fixtures are considered vital preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but Ghana head coach Otto Addo will have to make do without his star man as he prioritises long-term fitness over immediate international duty.
