‘I needed time to refresh and recuperate’ – Adina breaks silence of low visibility in the music scene

Award-winning Ghanaian singer, Adina Thembi, has addressed her recent low visibility in the music scene, revealing that she deliberately stepped back to rediscover herself and regain her strength.

Speaking in an interview on MX24, the singer explained that although she released a few projects during that period, the impact and momentum were not as strong as before.

“I did release some projects, but I guess the momentum wasn’t there like it used to be. People picked it up and started questioning what was going on with me and where I was, which I understand,” she stated.

According to Adina, the period marked a time of deep personal reflection and self-discovery. She noted that while she remained musically active, she was simultaneously working on rebuilding herself mentally and emotionally.

“All through the period that I was releasing projects, I was also going through the process of self-discovery, finding myself again, and charging up. The industry tends to drain you sometimes,” she explained.

The singer emphasised that taking time off was necessary to refresh and recuperate. Now, she says, she feels fully re-energised and ready to reclaim her space in the industry.

“I just felt like I needed to steal myself away at times to refresh and recuperate because right now, the energy is back fully,” she added.
