Accra–Nsawam Road disaster: Fuel tanker fire leaves three dead, seven injured 

A fuel tanker has been engulfed in flames after but was involved in an accident on the Nsawam–Accra Road.

Firefighters from the Suhum and Bunso fire stations responded to a devastating road traffic accident that resulted in a fire at Okanta, off the Nsawam–Accra Highway.

The response occurred earlier this morning, Saturday,  February 14, at about 0449 hours.

Reports indicate that police, the ambulance service and NADMO (the National Disaster Management Organisation) are also at the scene assisting with rescue efforts.

The crash involved a fuel tanker, a VVIP bus and three other vehicles, all of which burst into flames.

Three people lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries. All the vehicles involved were completely burnt.
