The Deputy Interior Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region, Ebenezer Okletey Tei-Larbi, celebrated and awarded 48 heroes and heroines for their positive contributions to the development of Kroboland.
Speaking at the Lower Manya Excellence Awards Ceremony in Krobo Odumase, he highlighted the significant impact many individuals from the Lower Manya Krobo area have made towards the country’s development across various fields.
He emphasised the importance of recognising these contributions to inspire the youth.

According to him, this initiative aims to empower young people and future generations to work hard and become valuable members of society by emulating their predecessors.
“We needed to recognise our forbears, our heroes and heroines, and this programme was meant essentially to let the youth recognise there are men and women from this very soil of ours who transcend the borders of this.”

Tei-Larbi acknowledged the efforts of public servants, farmers, and market women who have succeeded in life and contributed significantly to the community. “It is their very efforts that have brought us where we are today,” he stated.
As a token of appreciation, the MP presented customised Kente cloth, Fugu, and citations to the honourees, celebrating their achievements and encouraging others to follow in their footsteps.
