Ghanaian actor Harold Amenyah has earned a Master’s degree in Marketing Strategy from the University of Ghana, graduating on Thursday, February 20.
Sharing the milestone on social media, Amenyah hinted at pursuing even higher academic goals, writing, “PhD next #ThankYouGod.” His announcement drew widespread congratulations from colleagues, celebrities and fans, many of whom praised his commitment to education alongside his acting career.
Amenyah joins a growing list of Ghanaian entertainers who have pursued advanced academic qualifications while maintaining successful careers in the creative industry.
Among them is dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, who earned a Master of International Relations and Diplomacy (MIRD) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration in 2025. Actor and politician John Dumelo obtained a Master’s degree in Law (Natural Resources) from the University of Ghana in 2024, while actress Jackie Appiah earned a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the same institution in 2025.
Actress Matilda Asare graduated with a Master’s degree in Management and Human Resource Strategy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2024. Rapper Okyeame Kwame previously earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from the University of Ghana in 2016.
Multiple award-winning singer Becca also secured a Master’s degree in Brands and Communication from the University of Professional Studies, Accra in 2022, graduating as valedictorian with a reported CGPA of 3.92.
Amenyah’s academic accomplishment, alongside those of his creative peers, underscores the growing trend of entertainers combining education with their professional pursuits, inspiring many young people to prioritise learning while chasing their dreams.
