‘Still I believed’– Anita Akua Akuffo celebrates first RTP win after a decade of nominations

After 10 years of nominations without a win, Ghanaian media personality Anita Akua Akuffo has finally clinched Television Development Show Host of the Year at the Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP Awards).

Sharing the milestone on her Facebook page, Anita opened up about her decade-long journey of perseverance in the media industry. She revealed that despite being nominated multiple times over the years and not winning, she never stopped showing up, putting in the work, and believing in her growth.

According to her, the long-awaited victory is proof that progress continues even when recognition is not immediate. She described seeing the award “finally sitting on the shelf” as a powerful and humbling moment.

The broadcaster used the opportunity to thank everyone who supported, corrected, encouraged, and evolved with her throughout her career, noting that their love and belief in her never went unnoticed.

She also gave credit to God for sustaining her through what she described as every unseen season, dedicating the win to Him.

“For 10 years, I have received several RTP nominations and never won any.
Still, I showed up.
Still, I did the work.
Still, I believed.

Ten years later, there’s finally one sitting on the shelf as the Tv development show host of the year🥳
This moment is a reminder that progress happens even when the applause doesn’t come in.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, corrected, encouraged and grown with me. Your love never went unnoticed.

And to God who carried me through every unseen season all the glory belongs to You🙏🏽
Cheers to 11years of doing what I absolutely love🤍🥂
