Prophet Fire Oja refuses to apologise to Mzbel after second court appearance

Ghanaian Prophet Fire Oja has stated that he will not apologise to singer Mzbel unless a court orders him to do so, following his second appearance in court over a legal dispute between the two.

The pastor appeared in court today Wednesday, March 11, 2026, for the second hearing of the case filed against him by the musician. After the proceedings, Prophet Fire Oja addressed the media in a video shared by entertainment journalist Sammy Kay.

During the interaction, the pastor urged Mzbel to stop spreading what he described as false claims about him and allow the legal process to take its course. According to him, the singer had previously made misleading statements regarding his encounter with the police.

“I want to tell Mzbel to stop peddling lies against me. She tells too many lies. During the first hearing, she went on social media to say that I had been detained, which was not true. When the police invited me, she also said I had been arrested,” he said.

The dispute between the two began after Prophet Fire Oja publicly alleged that Mzbel experienced serious health complications in 2025 after visiting a traditionalist known as Ola Maame for what he described as a “soul travel” ritual. He claimed the incident resulted in the singer being hospitalised.

The pastor also accused the musician of collaborating with the spiritualist to mislead women who visit Ola Maame’s shrine in Kasoa.

However, Mzbel denied the allegations and challenged anyone making such claims to provide proof that she had suffered any negative experience with the spiritualist.

Through her lawyers, the singer later issued a legal notice demanding that Prophet Fire Oja retract his statements, publicly apologise, and pay compensation within 10 days, a demand that has now led to the ongoing court case.
